Homework Statement

An 80kg baseball players slides into third base. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the payer and the ground is 0.70. if his speed at the start of the slide is 8.23?

a) calculate acceleration

No really sure how 2 solve this question

Physics news on Phys.org
Nvm didnt thinking it threw properly found the answer

Basically Fn = Fg = mg
80kg(9.8m/s(squared)
=784

F"mu"k= Fn"mu" Then a = fnet/m = 548.8N/80Kg =6.86m/s(squared)
=784(0.7)
=548.8

hope this can help some1 else
