When is Easter Day in 2015?

Here is a method to calculate the day of Easter.

Choose a year that we name A.
R is the remainder of the division of A by 4.
S is the remainder of the division of A by 7.
T is the remainder of the division of A by 19.
B = 19 x T + 24
M is the remainder of the division of B by 30.
C = (2 x R) + (4 x S) + (6 x M) + 5
N is the remainder of the division of C by 7.
P = M + N

If P < 10 then Easter Day is P + 22 March.
If P > 9 then Easter Day is P - 9 April.

When is Easter Day in 2015?

I do not really know how to do this, and must admit I am not sure how to even start such a problem. If anyone could help me at least start this problem and help me along the way, that would be wonderful. Thank you in advance.

It's not clear why you can't follow the steps listed in the OP.

If you want to determine when Easter falls in 2015, clearly A = 2015, using the first step above.

Can you follow the second step, etc., and determine the date of Easter 2015?

Yes sorry silly me, I took a break and came back to the question...

This is what I got...

A = 2015
R = 3
S = 6
T = 1
B = 43
M = 13
C = 113
N = 1
Therefore P = 14

I therefore conclude that in 2015 Easter Day must be on the 14 - 9 = 5 April.

Could someone just check whether I am correct please?

You can Google this yourself to check your calculation. :wink:

I take, I am correct then

Or you could look on a calendar!

And i am correct :)
