SUMMARY

Computer Engineering provides a solid foundation for a career in Acoustics, particularly through its applications in programming and electronics. Students can leverage skills from Computer Engineering to explore fields such as audio signal processing and acoustic modeling. Pursuing a Master's in Acoustics Engineering can further enhance these skills and open specialized career paths. The integration of Computer Engineering with Acoustics is not only feasible but also advantageous for those interested in audio technology.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of audio signal processing techniques
  • Familiarity with programming languages relevant to acoustics applications
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and circuit design
  • Awareness of acoustic modeling principles
NEXT STEPS
  • Research audio signal processing algorithms and their applications
  • Explore programming languages such as Python or MATLAB for acoustics
  • Investigate acoustic modeling software tools like COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Learn about the principles of electronics as they relate to sound systems
USEFUL FOR

Hello everyone, well this is my first post and i hope someone could help me
I'm starting choosing what to study now and at first i choose Aerospace Engineering, but now I'm towards to Computer Engineering. Also I'm really interested on audio and acoustics. I saw an university that have Acoustics Engineering as a Master programme that also I'm interested but maybe in the future.
But right now i want to choose something that can relate to Acoustics, so my question is how can i relate Acoustics on Computer Engineering? Is there any way i can apply programming, electronics or any subject form CE (that's some of the courses that the programme has) on Acoustics?

Also maybe off-topic but, CE also could be applied on physics subjects like astrophysics?

Thanks in Advance
