Can heat be directly converted to cold?

is there any way to change the heat, directly to cold?

Not really. Heat is a form of energy in a system. "cold" is just a relative term meaning less heat. If a system loses heat energy then it becomes colder.

Other than that I'm not sure what you mean.

I agree, but there are many ways to lower the temprature of something. Endothermic reactions, heat pumps, refrigeration (quick decompression of a gas).
