SUMMARY

Light can be considered as information, specifically in terms of the energy and location values carried by photons. In the context of Young's Slit experiment, photons convey energy information (color) and orthonormal location information, which can be determined through interference triangulation. Upon decoherence, these values are read by the observing system, indicating that the essence of light is the transference of information rather than the existence of tangible objects. This phenomenon exemplifies the wave-particle duality of light, allowing for simultaneous measurement of energy and location.

Photons carry energy information and the orthonormal location information. So in Youngs slits the energy - color - can be determined and the origin of the photon through interference triangulation can also be determined.

Upon decoherence location and energy values are 'read' by the observing system whatever that may be.

Can we say that it is 'values' that are read and so what occurs is in effect a transference of information - values - rather than tangible objects.

Would love to read some considered comment on this...

Yes, it is accurate to say that values are read and that information is transferred rather than tangible objects. In the case of Young's Slit experiment, the photons carry energy (color) and orthonormal location information, and upon decoherence, this information is transferred to the observing system. This demonstrates the wave-particle duality of light, whereby light can behave as both a particle and a wave under certain conditions. It is this duality that allows us to measure both the energy and location of the photon in the same experiment.
