AI Thread Summary
To change language options on a Sony Ericsson w810i, users need to install a language pack that supports Simplified Chinese input via Pinyin. The process involves downloading the correct firmware, which is essential for adding new language capabilities. Many users have encountered difficulties finding reliable resources or clear instructions online. The website wotanserver.com is mentioned as a potential source for the necessary language pack, but it lacks specific details about typing in Chinese. There is confusion about whether the available packs allow for input in Pinyin or only display Chinese characters.

Hey, does anyone know how to change the language options on your phone?

I only get English and French. I would like to add Simplified Chinese to my phone by typing Pin-Yin.

I would love to send chinese messages but obviously I can't.

I searched everywhere, but I'm getting nowhere. I seem to be finding only old dead threads that got nowhere. They link you somewhere and supposedly the links explain things to you but they don't.

I have a Sony Ericsson w810i.

I know I need a language pack. Some people call it firmware? What is firmware and how do you install one? Where to even download one?

Thanks.

Still searching.

Yeah, I checked out that website. I found the one for my phone but the description doesn't say anything in regards to being able to type in Chinese only show Chinese text.

Or am I wrong and you can type it in?

Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
