A linearly polarized wave is one in which the vector sum of electic fields in two perpendicular directions is always directed along the same line. An elliptcal one is that in which the vector sweeps an ellipse, and it can somehow be converted into circular polarization. That is all I understand about this. Somebody needs to do some teaching.

"Somebody" needs to do some reading or ask a lot more politely than that, I think. :rolleyes:
