Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the marking procedure used for DFA (Deterministic Finite Automaton) minimization. Participants are seeking guidance on understanding this specific step in the context of automata theory, with a focus on its application rather than theoretical underpinnings.

Discussion Character

  • Debate/contested
  • Meta-discussion

Main Points Raised

  • Zulfi expresses confusion regarding the marking step in DFA minimization and requests guidance.
  • One participant suggests that Zulfi post the question in the "Programming and Computer Science" forum for potentially better assistance.
  • Another participant notes that the question has been moved to the current forum and questions why members from the EE or Computing forums cannot respond here.
  • A response indicates that there is no rule preventing members from other forums from answering, but suggests that those with relevant expertise may not frequent the General Engineering forum.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants do not reach a consensus on the appropriateness of the forum for the question or the likelihood of receiving help, indicating a lack of agreement on the best course of action for obtaining assistance.

Contextual Notes

The discussion highlights the uncertainty regarding the visibility of the question to members with relevant expertise and the implications of forum choice on the likelihood of receiving help.

I suggest you try posting this on the "Programming and Computer Science" forum, there may be some help there.

@zak100 -- If you want this thread moved to the EE forum or the Computing forum, please click the "Report" link in your post and ask the Mentors to move it. Thanks.

Hi,
Administrator has moved this question to this forum. Who is stopping EE forum people or Computing forum people to answer this question on this forum? Which PF rule prohibits them??

Nothing is stopping them, but I think few of the members with the background to answer this question ever visit the General Engineering forum. It's best to try to figure out which members may be able to provide the most help, and post in the forum that they frequent.
