A little clarification on this? I'm working with TiO2 suspended in water. Its a mixture of both rutile and anatase phase TiO2, and I've heard people refer to it as a colloidal solution and a slurry. Are they synonyms? Is one an incorrect description? Are they not synonyms, but both correct in a different way?

Any clarification would be helpful. Google-ing hasn't been helpful in clearing this up for me.

Slurry is particulates suspended in solution. The suspension may require agitation to maintain the particles in suspension. Colloidal suspension indicates those particles are small and little to no agitation is required to keep them that way.
