Do moving magnets induce eddy currents in conducting coils?

If a magnet is being moved in a conducting coil, are eddy currents produced in that coil ? And why ?
I think the answer is yes bcz a changing magnetic field creates eddy currents in a conductor (whether it was a coil or not) . Correct me if i am wrong . Thanks !

Eddy currents are generated by induced EMF in the core or other metallic parts that happen to be inside the electromagnetic field of the coil. These currents circulate through the core or some metallic part and they oppose the flow of the induced current (they generate resistive heating and power loss).

So does this mean that eddy currents are created in a coil or no ?
