Do you think the future has already happened?

In summary, the conversation discusses the concept of time and whether it is possible to see into the future. Some believe that it is possible, but it is also argued that this is not the case and that deja vu is not a sign of predicting the future. Additionally, time travel is mentioned and deemed impossible in certain countries. The idea that our understanding of time may be limited is also brought up. Ultimately, the topic is considered too speculative and the conversation is closed.

I do, think about it, what if time is like a stream, it needs a path right? What is time is the same. Some people say the they can see into the future, they could be right? Also, they can't change what's going to happen because it has already happened. It also explains deja vu.

By definition the future has not happened

Some people say the they can see into the future, they could be right? Also, they can't change what's going to happen because it has already happened. It also explains deja vu.

This is all bunk, people cannot see the future. Tests time and time again have demonstrated this, deja vu is nothing to do with telling the future (deja vu makes you feel like youve done something before, not exactly premonition considering you are actually doing it)

Time travel has been banned in China.

Did you ever consider that we experience time in one direction only because we just aren't smart enough to process seeing it in both directions. Many organisms aren't even aware of time going in the 'forward' direction. It could all be subjective and we may have invented the Entropy Argument to justify our own inadequacy.

Topic is overly speculative. Closed.

1. Do you believe that time is linear or circular?

This is a highly debated topic in the scientific community. Some scientists believe that time is linear, meaning that it moves forward in a straight line and events can only happen once. Others argue that time is circular, meaning that it repeats itself in cycles. Ultimately, the answer to this question is still unknown and requires further research and exploration.

2. Is time travel possible?

As of now, time travel is not possible according to our current understanding of physics. The theory of relativity, proposed by Albert Einstein, states that time is relative and can be affected by factors such as gravity and speed. However, traveling through time in the traditional sense, where one can go back or forward in time, is still considered science fiction and has not been proven to be possible.

3. What is the concept of the "butterfly effect" and how does it relate to the future?

The butterfly effect is a concept in chaos theory that suggests that small, seemingly insignificant events can have a large impact on the future. This means that even the smallest actions or decisions we make today can have a significant impact on the future. This concept highlights the complexity of predicting the future and how even the smallest changes can alter the course of events.

4. Can we predict the future?

While it is impossible to predict the future with 100% accuracy, scientists use various methods such as mathematical models, historical data, and probability to make educated predictions about future events. However, these predictions are not set in stone and can be affected by unexpected events and changes in circumstances.

5. How does the concept of free will play into the idea of the future already happening?

The idea of free will suggests that we have the ability to make choices and decisions that can impact our future. However, the concept of the future already happening suggests that events are predetermined and we have no control over them. This raises philosophical and ethical questions about the nature of time and our place in it. Ultimately, the answer to this question is still a matter of debate and personal belief.
