  • Exploratory, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • Some participants inquire about the practicality of springback binders, specifically whether they are hard to write on, if paper can fall out, and if the pages lay flat.
  • One participant suggests that another is overly focused on the method of binding rather than the content or purpose of the binders.
  • A participant critiques a video demonstrating the use of springback binders, arguing that the pages were not printed with binding in mind, lacking necessary space on the bound edge.
  • A later reply agrees with the critique of the video, acknowledging the observation made about the printing issue.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on the usability of springback binders and the quality of the video demonstration, indicating that multiple perspectives remain without a clear consensus.

Contextual Notes

Some assumptions about the intended use of springback binders and the requirements for binding are not fully explored, leaving room for further discussion.

I think you concentrate way too much on how instead of on what.

I don't, but it looks like the person in the video does not either. They clearly did not print those pages with the intention of binding them. They did not include the extra space on the bound edge that is necessary. Clumsy video, IMO.
