I'm designing a differential mount and am trying to wrap my head around the pitch loads the mount sees. My question is with a 1000 Ft/lb input torque will the ring and pinion ratio effect the torque that the mount must resolve? The differential is a sub-frame mounted IRS assembly, Nissan R230 specifically.

Only the pinion radius should affect the reaction torque at the differential mounts. The force involved is the one at the ring & pinion contact point which is equal to the torque of the pinion divided by the pitch radius of the pinion.
