Does time exist in the same sense that my chair physically exists. Or is time something we created to give reference to events?

time doesn't exist like a chair, but it exists like lengths that can measure the dimensions of the chair. It's not just human, time must be for events to even occur in the first place.
 
This does not meet the criteria for posting in the philosophy subforum. Feel free to do a forum search on threads regarding time as there have been many in the various physics forums.
