A user is seeking advice on building a dynamometer for tuning their moped, proposing to use a washing machine motor and a water brake to simulate resistance. They aim to measure the power output in volts and create a power curve based on speed. Suggestions include researching the working principles of dynamometers and considering smartphone apps that utilize accelerometers for initial power measurements. The discussion emphasizes the importance of understanding the setup before investing time and resources into building a custom dyno. Overall, the user is looking for guidance on effectively measuring their bike's power output.

Hello everybody this is my first time posting here hope i am doing it right (sorry if english is bad)
Hello everybody this is my first time posting here hope i am doing it right (sorry if english is bad)

I had a new project for a moped (bike) tuning idee
I want to make a dyno to see how much power my bike gives. My idea was to use a motor from a wasmachine and use it as the dyno power sourche. So i make a wheel were my bike wil run on ( the wheel has a waterbrake to simulate resistance) that than rotates the wasmachine motor so that motor wil give power out (the power is in volts) Now i want to transform that power into diagram map. Where i can see the power curve. For example i drive 20 kmph it gives 10 volts and when i ride 40 it gives 15. The volt that come out that i have to read does not have to match like hp (horsepower)

I want something where i can read off the power that comes off a dynamo

Hopefully you understand me and can help me
Greetings

Before you spend a lot of time and money building your own dyno, you might try downloading an app for your cellphone that uses the phone's accelerometer to give you a simple capability to do power measurements as you experiment with different engine settings. Do a Google search similar to mine below to check out your options:

Hello! I want to generate an RF magnetic field at variable frequencies (from 1 to 20 MHz) using this amplifier: https://www.minicircuits.com/WebStore/dashboard.html?model=LZY-22%2B, by passing current through a loop of current (assume the inductive resistance is negligible). How should I proceed in practice? Can i directly connect the loop to the RF amplifier? Should I add a 50 Ohm in series? Thank you!
