Easy exponent precalc problem. 4^(1+√2) * 4^(1-√2)

Can anyone do the steps to: 4^(1+√2) * 4^(1-√2)?
The book says it's 16, but I got 16^-1
steps:
foil exponents: that comes out to 1-2 ? Should it not be ?
then, just multiply the 4's, or do you add them?

You're trying to foil the exponents. That indicates that you're multiplying them. What should you be doing instead to the exponents?
