SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the reliability of the aluminum 1100 strain-stress curve in ANSYS Workbench V.13. Users have identified a potential error in the explicit material library, specifically that the unit of true strain is incorrectly listed as MPa, which is dimensionless. Participants are seeking accurate sources for the aluminum 1100 strain-stress curve to ensure proper material modeling in simulations.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of material properties in finite element analysis
  • Familiarity with ANSYS Workbench V.13
  • Knowledge of strain-stress curve concepts
  • Basic principles of material science, particularly for aluminum alloys
NEXT STEPS
  • Research reliable sources for aluminum 1100 strain-stress curves
  • Explore ANSYS Workbench V.13 documentation for material library details
  • Learn about material modeling best practices in finite element analysis
  • Investigate alternative material databases for accurate strain-stress data
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, material scientists, and simulation analysts who require accurate material properties for modeling aluminum 1100 in ANSYS Workbench V.13.

I'm using Ansys Workbench V.13, when I use library of explicitmaterial I saw that Unit of True Strain is Mpa ?!

And if we can't trust this strain-stress curve, please tell me, where can I find aluminum 1100 strain-stress curve ?
