The discussion revolves around a person's desire to engage deeply with pure mathematics and science, expressing frustration over the lack of similarly dedicated individuals in their immediate academic environment. They seek a university or college that allows for independent study, emphasizing a preference for learning without the constraints of traditional degree requirements or societal expectations. The individual is willing to pay for education and desires access to professors who share a passion for mathematics and science. Suggestions include exploring institutions like Evergreen State College, which offers a flexible curriculum, and the possibility of connecting with like-minded individuals online for cooperative study. The conversation touches on the challenges of pursuing knowledge in a society that prioritizes economic and political considerations over pure scientific inquiry. There is also a discussion about the idealism surrounding the pursuit of knowledge and the need for practical considerations in achieving educational goals.

The Venus project believes that the end of the world will come Terminator-style, by the take-over of machines.

Does that qualify as crackpottery?

I am impressed by them because they are at least try it , not just given up and stared opposing the fact that they can change the world...
I myself wanted to break this system because I am lock into it, I don't care much about poverty or any other thing , just want to make my self free and make a system without money and where people are free to do whatever they want to do like those pure science , mathematics and also for other people's freedom.

I am trying to do so for last 1 an 1.5 year but not unsuccessful because i don't have the authority and bounded by law of money and survival without money...

believe me take a step forward and we will break those system ...if you fell that there some mistake in that point then you can correct it , you know it is not that easy task ,to think of making whole system proper ...

Is this not telling you something?

You need power and money to make changes.

You may have to make a very hard decision:
Do you want this freedom for yourself, or for your descendants? Pick only one.

You may have to change the system from within. i.e. you may have to sacrifice your personal goals, by acquiring wealth and money, so that you can let your children have the life you dream of.

There is another way of breaking it by uniting people around and over through the monetary system...

Do you think it will happen in your lifetime? If not, you sacrifice a lot of your ability to enact change when you decide to forego power and wealth.

firstly I am not talking about some opening\job...

I am talking about science , scientist , research , knowledge and pure mathematicians and there point of view AND NOT some economical or political or social part's point of view ...

secondly I am purely into science ,so I need a place (univ. or college which satisfied point in above posts) where there are people who respect science and mathematic, not that you all don't do it, but purely into it...

those above point are less of my concern so don't bother me with them please...

I guess you didn't get the correlation-----the areas of research (your 'purely into science') and job openings (your 'some economical or political or social part's point of view ...') ask about the same thing of you---

Who do you think the "people who respect science and mathematic" are exactly? and it sounds like you want to be somehow in that 'group'...

do you think that just 'wanting' to be in that 'group' is enough for you to accepted in that group?

I have a feeling you have a unrealistic idea of what those 'groups' are that you're wanting to get into---a 'idealistic' view of who they are and what they do, and what it took them to get there.

There are 'think tanks' around, and I get the feeling that that could be what you're talking about from what you've written.

OK---you tell me what you think it takes on how do you get into a 'think tank'?

It makes a lot of sense that a love for science and knowledge, especially in a cultural climate or local society that had no interest in these things, would make one prone to idealism.

Here's an idea for herm. Why not use the internet to hook up with people in your area of India who have some interest in science? Perhaps you could pool money to order some textbooks online, and do a co-operative study course. It sounds to me like you do not want the formality and social aspects of what's available to you higher education wise.

Some more information might help. Can you attend universities in India? Are you in good academic standing? Can you afford to go to school in America?

Another thought: Based on your conception of the "pure" scientist, you might find it interesting to research the Pythagoran cult.
