AI Thread Summary
Realplayer's streaming video capture feature, compatible with Firefox 3.5 and IE8, has faced functionality issues following the Firefox update to version 3.5.4, with users reporting ongoing problems even after the subsequent update to 3.5.5. While the feature continues to work in IE8, the consensus points to Firefox as the source of the issue. Users have expressed frustration and have sought remedies, including reporting the bug to Firefox. However, a recent update to Realplayer appears to have resolved the problem for some users, restoring the feature's functionality in Firefox.

Realplayer has a feature where you can capture streaming videos. It is set up to operate with Firefox 3.5 and IE8. I have been using this feature mostly under Firefox. However after the latest update from Firefox (3.5.4), the feature stopped functioning. Has anyone encountered this problem and is there a remedy? I am sure I am not alone, since the Firefox users forum has many complaints about the same problem.

Annoying isn't it? I'm sure firefox or realplayer will provide an update shortly.

I just got a Firefox update 3.5.5. Problem still remains. Since the feature works fine when using IE8, I presume the problem is with Firefox not Realplayer.

Have you sent FF a bug report about it? They are quite responsive.

I have reported it through Firefox forum. I am not sure how to use the link you included. It wants me to log in.

I downloaded a new version of realplayer today - the firefox problem seems to have been resolved.

Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
