SUMMARY

This discussion centers on the need for a dedicated forum for LaTeX, Mathematica, Maple, and MATLAB packages. Users express frustration over package issues, particularly with LaTeX, including warnings related to the `epstopdf` package and multiple undefined control sequences. Specific errors encountered include "Undefined control sequence" and "Missing } inserted," indicating syntax issues in the LaTeX code. The conversation highlights the importance of community support in troubleshooting these technical challenges.

PREREQUISITES
  • Familiarity with LaTeX typesetting and syntax
  • Understanding of package management in LaTeX
  • Basic knowledge of error messages in LaTeX compilations
  • Experience with mathematical typesetting in LaTeX
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the `epstopdf` package and its configuration in LaTeX
  • Learn how to troubleshoot undefined control sequences in LaTeX
  • Explore LaTeX error handling and debugging techniques
  • Investigate community forums for LaTeX support and package discussions
USEFUL FOR

Mathematicians, engineers, and researchers using LaTeX for document preparation, as well as anyone involved in troubleshooting LaTeX package issues.

Will there be a forum directed specifically towards packages like LaTeX, Mathematica, Maple or MATLAB?

Anyway,

Does anyone know where I can download the package that uses .jpg in LaTeX or what the name of it is?

Thanks

Most of that falls under the engineering and math forums. It takes quite a bit to get the Admins to add a forum.
