Fourier transform of the sine function?

Homework Statement

I'm trying to get started on a project for a course, which is about Fourier transforms.
So I'm trying to find the Fourier transform of sin(2$\pi$f₀t) in order to figure something out.

I don't really understand the delta function though.

sin(2πf₀t) has only a single frequency, so in the frequency domain, it is a delta function.
