Schools Top European Physics Schools for Industrial Engineering Grad Programs

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on seeking recommendations for European universities offering physics programs, as the user feels their profile may not be competitive enough for top-tier institutions. The user has a strong academic background in Industrial Engineering from a prestigious Indian institution, with a GPA of approximately 3.7/4, and relevant research experience, including two journal articles in physics and multiple projects related to general relativity and quantum mechanics. They plan to take the GRE and predict a score between 850-900 on the PGRE, which they believe reflects their problem-solving skills. The user is currently considering several US universities, including University at Buffalo, University of Pittsburgh, University of Wisconsin-Madison, SUNY-Stony Brook, and North Carolina State University, and is looking for additional recommendations for both US and European institutions where they might have a better chance of acceptance.

There are huge resources to rank and rate the different universities for physics in US but i am blind as to what universities i can apply outside US preferably Europe. with the profile i have i don't think i have any shot in top schools and can aim only for 2nd tier schools

My profile as of now -
Industrial Engineering in India (National Institute of Technology, trichy) Top 5 in india

Over all GPA now in indian system = 7.2/10 (which converts to around 3.7/4)
2 Journal articles in physics (general relativity)
4 Projects in physics (2 summer and 2 winter projects) (general relativity and Quantum mechanics)
1 Statistical Math Project
1 project to mathematically model product life cycle (used physics model for solving industrial engineering problems)
1 conference (this summer)
1 Lecture course by Prof michael berry (this summer)

Gre yet to take

Can you recommend some good europian physics schools that i have a chance, so that i could add them to the list.

My list as of now has

University at Buffalo, SUNY
Univ of Pittsburgh
U Wisconsin-Madison
SUNY-Stony Brook
North Carolina State Univ

What's your predicted PGRE score?

I am quite good in problem solving and PGRE as i sampled few questions, is almost same level as my undergrad entrance exam which i fared well

so most probably some where around 850-900 ?

and would be really helpful if you could recommend any other US universities i have good shot at.
thanks a ton in advance ! :D

I graduated with a BSc in Physics in 2020. Since there were limited opportunities in my country (mostly teaching), I decided to improve my programming skills and began working in IT, first as a software engineer and later as a quality assurance engineer, where I’ve now spent about 3 years. While this career path has provided financial stability, I’ve realized that my excitement and passion aren’t really there, unlike what I felt when studying or doing research in physics. Working in IT...
Hi everyone! I'm a senior majoring in physics, math, and music, and I'm currently in the process applying for theoretical and computational biophysics (primarily thru physics departments) Ph.D. programs. I have a 4.0 from a basically unknown school in the American South, two REUs (T50 and T25) in computational biophysics and two semesters of research in optics (one purely experimental, one comp/exp) at my home institution (since there aren't any biophysics profs at my school), but no...
