To retrieve the Hex file after building a program in mikroC, locate it in the same directory where the project was created. The Hex file is generated only if the build process completes without errors. If there are issues during the build, the Hex file will not be available. The user expressed frustration about the project and mentioned quitting it two years later. Proper error handling during the build process is crucial for successful Hex file generation.
