How do the Physics Forums member status icons work?

I have noticed that some individuals here at PF are electrons, some quarks others are various other kinds of entities. I sense that it is some kind ranking system? How does it work and what is the full system of classification?

Some people like silly. I don't mind, some silliness can push you through a bad day. "Ok, i'm not that usless, i'm a PF mountain!"

On a second thought, that can also turn bad, "I'm so fat that even PF calls me a mountain".
