Hello!

I want to know, how do we get (i mean how do we calculate) energy specters if we send random sound waves to a probe. Is there any Linux computer program capable of doing this?

Any digital analysis will be applied to a fixed number of samples and it will assume that this sequence is repeated. That's the basis of FFTs. Having accepted this, then there must be lots of free FFT applications for any platform you want which just require a string of samples - usually in batches of 2^n - 1 samples. That will give you an indication of the Spectral Content of the original signal.
