Spent a ton of time trying to figure out spellings especially former soviet countries. I had no idea about most of the island nations and didn't even think about Vatican City.

This will be the new geek challenge that my friends and I play for at least a night. Doing it again so shortly afterwards, and seeing the list of answers, seems like cheating though.

It will be a good way to educate myself and refresh my memory.

Gotta have a few drinks first. A little Dack Janiels and the countries will come much easier!

The UK is made up of Great Britain (which is the big island, in turn made up of England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern Ireland. So England is a country, but the sovereign state is the UK, which encompasses all four countries.

Notice that in the Olympics, there is the team from the UK (aka "Britain" ) featuring athletes from England and Scotland (plus THE Welsh athlete, heh heh), but in the World Cup, Scotland and England compete separately, which is why, for the first time in History, when an American Sportscaster spoke of the "English Team," he was actually correct.

I finally got them all. I just read one of the comments that said you can scroll down and look at the one that's missing and find out which letter it may start with since they're in alphabetical order. But I just found that out, so I was unable to utilize it.
