How Much Does It Cost To Start a Lab?

Hi everyone. Thank you for taking the time to contribute to this thread :)

How much does it cost to start a relatively small (750 square foot) biorejuvenation technology research lab? What kinds of materials would be needed to say, culture cells, synthesize proteins, or mess around with biology in similar ways so to speak. Also, if you know of any helpful links, could you point me in the right direction regarding the rules and regulations for starting certain lab types in the United States?

Thread 'Career Prospects (outside of academia)'

For some background, I'm currently a 3rd year physics major with an astro specialization studying in Canada, and as undergraduates are want to do I'm regularly evaluating my career prospects down the road.
