Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the challenge of converting all pages of a PDF file, which contain images of varying sizes, into a uniform A5 size for printing purposes. Participants explore various methods and tools to achieve this goal, including printer settings and third-party software options.

Discussion Character

  • Homework-related
  • Technical explanation

Main Points Raised

  • One participant suggests using printer software to set the paper size to A5 and enable the 'scale to fit' option as a potential solution.
  • Another participant echoes the previous suggestion, indicating that it may resolve issues with printing multiple pages on a single sheet.
  • A different participant proposes that if the printer software fails, third-party software might be necessary to standardize the PDF page sizes, recommending PDF Mate as a possible solution.
  • The same recommendation for PDF Mate is reiterated, along with a link for further guidance.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

There is no consensus on a single solution, as participants propose both printer settings and third-party software without resolving which method is definitively more effective.

Contextual Notes

Participants do not specify the types of printer software available or the exact functionality of PDF Mate, leaving some assumptions about compatibility and effectiveness unaddressed.

I have a PDF file in which different pages are of different size because I made it up from images of different sizes. For printing purpose I want all the pages to be of A5 size, How can I do that ?

Sorry if this is silly but I have no experience in working with PDF, this is the first time I have used them.

Your printer software should be able to do that by setting the paper size to A5 and using the ' scale to fit ' option .

Thanks I think this will solve the problem that my printer is printing two or more pages in one single page.

If printer software does not work then you might need to download a third party software which can print different size pdf pages into one single format.

The one I found is PDF Mate.
Please take a look into below link which will help you.
