Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the challenges of publishing personal research in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) related to geomagnetic fields and weather patterns. Participants explore the process of transitioning private research into recognized scientific work, addressing issues of visibility and validation from professional physicists.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory
  • Debate/contested
  • Meta-discussion

Main Points Raised

  • One participant seeks advice on how to validate their MHD model and publish their research despite lacking a formal scientific career.
  • Concerns are raised about the visibility of the participant's thread, with questions about potential censorship.
  • Another participant states that discussions of unpublished personal theories violate forum policies, suggesting a need for adherence to established scientific discourse.
  • References to various approved publications are provided by the original poster to support their claims about the relevance of their research.
  • Participants suggest preparing ideas in a structured manner and reaching out to experts privately for feedback on the research.
  • There is a question about the financial aspect of hiring a professional physicist for validation of the model.
  • Advice is given to publish in the same journals that the participant is currently reading.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on the appropriateness of discussing unpublished theories, with some emphasizing adherence to forum policies while others focus on the validity of their research based on established publications. The discussion remains unresolved regarding the best path forward for the original poster.

Contextual Notes

There are limitations regarding the acceptance of personal theories within the forum, and the discussion reflects a tension between personal research aspirations and community guidelines.

I'm looking for a person (professional physicist), that can make a proper validation of my model, that uses MHD, to describe interactions between geomagnetic field and weather patterns. Can someone give me advice, how to turn a private research into official science, despite my lack of any actual scientific career? Thanks!

But I'm discussing here officially approved publications and articles. Here are links to all the publications, that I'm discussing:
Clouds blown by the solar wind
Paper suggests solar magnetic influence on Earth’s atmospheric pressure
influence of Solar Magnetic Sector Structure on Terrestrial Atmospheric Vorticity
The interplanetary magnetic field influences mid-latitude surface atmospheric pressure
Solar Activity and Earth's Climate
THE CURIOUS CASE OF EARTH'S LEAKING ATMOSPHERE
Magnetic field changes

All those sources are approved by mainstream science.

And if so, where should I ask for some help?

How much are you willing to pay them?
