SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the confusion regarding the transformation of a square root into a 3/2 power in a mathematical equation. The user initially questioned why the square root, typically represented as a 1/2 power, was expressed as 3/2. The clarification provided indicates that the 3/2 power results from differentiation applied to the term on the left side of the equation. The user acknowledged their misunderstanding regarding the differentiation process and the role of variables in this context.

PREREQUISITES

Hello, please take a look at the image below:

I am confused as to how that square root transformed into 3/2 power... Isn't it suppose to be 1/2 power if it's a square root?

Thanks

The term on the right with the 3/2 power is the result of the differentiation stated by the term on the left.

Ahh of course >.< I can't believe I didn't see that. I thought the variables could become a part of the differential d/dt without differentiating the entire equation... My mathematical mistake! lol
