The discussion centers around the frustration of not receiving an interview invitation as expected. Participants express feelings of disappointment and uncertainty about the situation. There is a suggestion to wait three working days past the promised date for the invitation before reaching out to the admissions team for clarification. Concerns are raised about the lack of communication regarding the interview process and the implications of timing, especially with acceptance deadlines approaching, typically by April 15. The overall sentiment reflects anxiety about the admissions process and the desire for clearer communication from the admissions team.

Quarky I feel I'm presently in your shoes.

Was supposed to get an invite to an interview but I haven't heard anything from them even on the date they said they would send the invite.

Physics news on Phys.org
And I feel a bit distraught at not even getting a chance to be interviewed.
Do you think it'd be okay to ask the admissions team why I wasn't shortlisted for the interview?

If you have it in writing that they would send an invite by a certain date, I would wait three working days past that date (just in case it slipped someone's mind) and then ask your contact person what's going on.

What exactly does that mean? It seems a rather odd message to send - why not send the actual invitation?

It's getting very late. Offers usually are required to be accepted or declined by April 15.

Bit Britain-specific but I was wondering, what's the best path to take for A-Levels out of the following (I know Y10 seems a bit early to be thinking about A-levels, but my choice will impact what I do this year/ in y11) I (almost) definitely want to do physics at University - so keep that in mind... The subjects that I'm almost definitely going to take are Maths, Further Maths and Physics, and I'm taking a fast track programme which means that I'll be taking AS computer science at the end...
