Homework Statement



The image formed by a simple two lens microscope is
(a) real and inverted.
(b) real and upright.
(c) virtual and upright.
(d) virtual and inverted.
(e) none of these.

The Attempt at a Solution



I was confused on how to understand how the optics of a two lens microscope would work. If two lens are used, would it produce a virtual image? I know a converging lens would produce a real image and a diverging lens would produce a virtual image. So in any case (convex & convex, convexe & concave, or concave & concave), would we have a diverging lens that would be conveying the image? I'm not sure though if it would appear upright or inverted though...
