AI Thread Summary
In the context of human evolution, the discussion explores the implications of reproduction, humorously interpreting "1 + 1" as the process of conception leading to live births. Statistically, it is noted that typically, 1 + 1 results in about three children, considering the average number of offspring per conception. The conversation highlights the rarity of multiple births, with specific odds for twins, triplets, quadruplets, and quintuplets. Additionally, it touches on the complexities of reproduction, including the possibility of not having children or complications during childbirth, suggesting a broader interpretation of the equation. The tone remains light-hearted, incorporating humor about the potential negative outcomes of reproduction.

Interesting but very ambiguous.

If by 1 + 1 you mean having child/children conceived and then resulting in live birth(s) then about 98% of the time the answer is 3. However, 1 out of every 90 live births or so are twins, 1 out of 8,100 are triplets, 1 out of 729,000 are quadruplets and 1 out of every 65,610,000 are quintuplets.

And don’t forget about the odds of not producing child, or the mother dieing during childbirth etc etc.

another 1??

or maby 1+1=-x cause the guy is a murderer.

Fall colors are here, no mosquitos, no deer flies, and mild temperature, so my morning run was unusually nice. Only two meetings today, and both went well. The deer that was road killed just down the road two weeks ago is now fully decomposed, so no more smell. Somebody has a spike buck skull for their...
