The discussion revolves around the concept of soliciting financial help through online platforms, sparked by a humorous suggestion of creating sob stories to elicit donations. Participants engage in playful banter, mixing serious and absurd elements, such as one user jokingly claiming to be a genetically engineered creature seeking funds for a trip home. The conversation highlights skepticism towards online begging, with some expressing a firm stance against allowing such requests on forums. There are humorous exchanges about the nature of begging, with references to various fictional scenarios and characters, ultimately leading to a light-hearted atmosphere despite the serious undertone of financial hardship. The thread illustrates a blend of humor and critique regarding the ethics of online fundraising.

 Moonbear, you'd better not to visit yoursons because I'm afraid they'll have the franzbear destiny  (by the way, what happened to your beautiful avatar.have you sold it in order to meet your sons? o:)  )
 Yeah, that's it, I had to sell it to visit my sons. Oh, folks, when sending money, remember that one of those sons lives closer to Euro Disney, so I have to get there.

(I'll bring back my other avatar soon; I just needed to change into this one while defending jellitivity, but to be honest, it's rather damp and slimey and doesn't smell very good, so I'll be changing back into the warm, fuzzy avatar very soon.)

If someone opened a thread asking for money, I don't care what kind of sob story they post, I'd delete it.

Why not borrow some money and then brainwash the peron you borrowed it from to not remember lending it to you?

Hmmm.. that's not good Moonie. Do you perhaps have a tendency to black out and not remember what you've been doing? Maybe you sleep walk? Or maybe these guys are just having particularly sweet dreams?
