Physics Internships in Physics for post-undergrads

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on a recent physics graduate exploring options for internships or fellowships while deciding on a graduate study focus, particularly in Quantum Information and plasma physics. Participants suggest that many groups in quantum information may offer paid internships, emphasizing the importance of reaching out to professors with a resume and transcript. However, one contributor notes that specific programs like SULI, which could be beneficial for recent graduates, are limited to the U.S. and thus not applicable for the original poster, who is located elsewhere. The conversation highlights the need for international opportunities in the fields of interest.

I have recently graduated with a BS in Physics and have not decided what field to pursue in my graduate studies and may wait a couple of months (up to a year) until I enroll.
I am mostly interested in Quantum Information (both software and hardware-wise) and plasma physics (fusion).

I was wondering if there are some internships/fellowships I can pursue in the meantime, which I might be eligible for given my current academic status.

Thank you.

There are many groups in quantum information who might offer (paid) internships. I found mine through emailing professors, including my transcript and resume. Are you in America?

I am not.
I thought about it a while back and i will be sending an email to a professor soon.
Thanks for your reply.

Some of the undergraduate internships might include recent graduates as well. SULI is a good example of this.

The OP indicated that he/she is not in the US. SULI will be irrelevant.
