IPhone Settings : Attempts at the Password before Locking Out

AI Thread Summary
iPhone security requires users to input a passcode, and after several incorrect attempts, the device becomes disabled. If the passcode is forgotten, recovery mode must be used via a computer, which erases all data and settings, including the passcode. Users can then restore their data from a backup or set up the device as new if no backup exists. There is no specific setting to change the number of attempts before the device locks. The link provided for further information leads to Apple's support page on the topic.

TL;DR Summary
I forget password in my iPhone 8 plus, and phone locks out after just 3 attempt. How can I change the settings to extend number of trials before phone locks me out?
A friend of mine has an iPhone 8 plus . Security seems over the top, requiring passwords at all levels. Are there any settings that determine the number of tries before locking? If so, where is it?

i was going to say you change it when you choose to buy an Android at the store. But Apple has a different answer.

If you enter the wrong passcode on your iPhone Lock Screen too many times, an alert let's you know that your iPhone is disabled. If you can’t remember your passcode when you try again, you need to use a computer to put your iPhone in recovery mode. This process deletes your data and settings, including your passcode, giving you access to set up your iPhone again.

After you erase your iPhone, you can restore your data and settings from backup. If you didn't back up your iPhone, you can set it up as a new device and then download any data that you have in iCloud.

Well, the date has now passed, and Windows 10 is no longer supported. Hopefully, the readers of this forum have done one of the many ways this issue can be handled. If not, do a YouTube search and a smorgasbord of solutions will be returned. What I want to mention is that I chose to use a debloated Windows from a debloater. There are many available options, e.g., Chris Titus Utilities (I used a product called Velotic, which also features AI to prevent your computer from overheating etc...
I've been having problems for the past few weeks with the display on my Dell computer. I bought the computer new back in 2019 or so, which makes it about 6 years old. My monitor is a 27" HP monitor that I bought for another computer (an HP Pavilion), recently demised, back in about 2012 or 2013. As far as I can tell, the computer, which is running a 10-core Xeon Scalable processor, is functioning as it should. The first symptom was that the screen would go dark, which I would attempt to...
