Is Multi-Tasking While Eating Affecting Our Digestion?

SUMMARY

Multi-tasking while eating negatively impacts digestion by diverting energy and resources away from the digestive system. Engaging in physical activities is detrimental, while mental activities such as studying or watching TV also hinder digestion due to the brain's demand for neurotransmitter production. For humans, is it best to do nothing while eating? So that the digestive system can function with full vigour without resources directed to other activities during eating?

From experience doing other physical activity is definitely not good but what about doing mental activities while eating like stuyding or watching TV?

yeah that is pretty true with eating, nothing to it unless u want to know the details of the hormones and neuro transmitter stuff. For the tv I would say it's same principle. You need energy and resources to eat, while your brain wants to make neurotransmitters to think.

Bad how much of a difference does it make, really? It might be good to know a bit about the hormones and neurotransmitter stuff.
