Learning linear algebra

Hi, I know high school math, and I am starting to learn mathematics rigorously. I thought I should start with linear algebra first, so I picked Sheldon Axler's book to study it with rigor. Can y'all advise me on what should I look out for in linear algebra in as a beginner and recommend me some books (I am more interested in learning it in pure math manner not like applied engineering style). Ps - I am familiar with grammar of mathematics (symbols, operators etc.)
