Looking for AEDsys software (aircraft engine design)

AI Thread Summary
The user is seeking the software AEDsys.exe, developed by Jack Mattingly, which is essential for computations in aircraft engine design. The software is no longer available on the Mattingly Consulting site, leading to difficulties in obtaining it. Initial attempts to download from Informer Technologies were unsuccessful due to VPN issues. After disabling the VPN, the user successfully accessed the download link. The discussion highlights the challenges in finding legacy software and the impact of VPNs on access to certain sites.

TL;DR Summary
Software for aircraft engine design
Good day

I am looking for a software called AEDsys.exe. This (AED stands for aircraft engine design) SW was created by Jack Mattingly years ago. It is the backbone of the computations involved in his wonderful book “Aircraft Engine Design” ( authors Jack Mattingly, William Heiser, David Pratt ).

The point of this SW is to save a lot of necessary computations in the complex equations describing real turbojet engines today. If you do all that manually you have to waste a LOT of time and mistakes can pop up very easily !!!

I wanted to get it from Mattingly Consulting site, but the site is gone now and I cannot find any way to buy this SW... Does anyone know where to find this software ? Thank you for any pointers.

Good day. Yes and no ! I went to that Informer Tech link already 15 days ago while searching for this and none of the links there lead anywhere. It looks like the site is gone, probably because Mattingly Consulting does not exist anymore, I am not sure... But thank you anyway !

It doesn't work if you click on download from the link @Baluncore posted? It works for me.

Wow.. After you said you could dload it, I had the idea of removing my VPN setup and ... it worked then. I have no idea why the VPN messes this. It never crossed my mind it could be anything like that until you tried successfully, so it had to be then something IT-wise, and not what I had assumed .. Thank you again and have a nice day !!!

Due to the constant never ending supply of "cool stuff" happening in Aerospace these days I'm creating this thread to consolidate posts every time something new comes along. Please feel free to add random information if its relevant. So to start things off here is the SpaceX Dragon launch coming up shortly, I'll be following up afterwards to see how it all goes. https://blogs.nasa.gov/spacex/
