If the magnification for an image is equal to –3.5, what is the nature of the image?

I am having difficulties understanding this question and finding answer. Can anyone can tell me where can I find information about this question or how to solve it?...

It would seem that they are interested in knowing if the image is real or imaginary and if it's larger or smaller than the object in question.
