SUMMARY

This discussion centers on finding additional examples of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs), specifically first-order separable and first-order linear equations. The user seeks resources beyond their current calculus textbook and is open to recommendations for websites or textbooks. Suggestions include utilizing Google Books for previews of popular texts such as "Differential Equations" by Brannan & Boyce, Boyce & DiPrima, and Polking & Boggess, as well as checking local school libraries for older editions.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Ordinary Differential Equations
  • Familiarity with first-order separable equations
  • Knowledge of first-order linear equations
  • Basic research skills for locating academic resources
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore Google Books for previews of "Differential Equations" by Brannan & Boyce
  • Investigate library resources for older editions of differential equations textbooks
  • Search online educational platforms for additional ODE examples and solutions
  • Review academic websites that specialize in mathematics resources for ODE practice problems
USEFUL FOR

Students studying differential equations, educators seeking additional teaching resources, and anyone looking to enhance their understanding of first-order ODEs.

Hey guys. I have a dilemma of sorts: I'm working on some Differential Equations and I've already done all the examples that my calculus book has to offer. So, I'm looking for some more examples with solutions that I can use to work on, except I don't really feel like buying another textbook. If anyone has a website or some other idea where I can get a few examples, I'd appreciate it. If not, and I do have to purchase a text than what does everyone recommend?

Specifically I'm working on the introductory stuff -- first order seperable and first order linear.

Thanks in advance.

Google books prob has the first few chapters of the common DE books (i.e. Brannan & Boyce, Boyce & DiPrimma, Polking & Boggess). Check your school's library. Usually they have most of the old editions of these books. You can go write them down or photocopy, though the latter depends on your school's policy.
