Omnigraph OGR File Download: Fast Forward the Dynamic Constant

Click For Summary

Discussion Overview

The discussion revolves around the use of Omnigraph software to download and manipulate an OGR file, specifically focusing on the concept of a dynamic constant within a graph. Participants explore the feasibility of sharing the file and the implications of the changing constant.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Technical explanation, Debate/contested

Main Points Raised

  • One participant requests others to download an OGR file from a specified site and manipulate it by fast forwarding a dynamic constant.
  • Another participant inquires whether the request is for personal use or for the community, suggesting the need for someone to export the file for those without Omnigraph.
  • A third participant mentions the availability of a free 30-day trial of Omnigraph as a potential solution for accessing the software.
  • One participant questions the necessity of sharing the file, suggesting that a screenshot could suffice.
  • In response, another participant clarifies that the graph features a continually changing constant, which cannot be effectively represented by a static screenshot.
  • A later reply challenges the concept of a "continually changing constant," suggesting that the term may be oxymoronic and proposing that the term "parameter" might be more appropriate.
  • One participant shares a screenshot of a butterfly graph, noting that it appears better when the variable 'a' is fast forwarded, while still expressing satisfaction with its appearance.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on the nature of the dynamic constant and its representation, with some questioning the terminology used. There is no consensus on the best way to share the graph or the necessity of using Omnigraph.

Contextual Notes

Some participants appear to have different interpretations of the term "dynamic constant," leading to potential confusion. The discussion does not resolve the ambiguity surrounding this term.

Who May Find This Useful

Individuals interested in graph manipulation, software tools for dynamic modeling, and those exploring the concept of changing parameters in mathematical contexts may find this discussion relevant.

If anyone has omnigraph, download the ogr file from this site:
Then fast forward the dynamic constant.

Is this for you or for us? Can somebody export it for those of us that do not have omnigraph?

You can get a free 30 day trial of omnigraph if you want:

What do you want people to see? Why don't you just screenshot it?

It is a graph with a continually changing constant and cannot be shown by a screenshot.

continually changing constant

Forgive me, but this seems a bit oxymoronic. Do you mean parameter?

Here is a screenshot of the butterfly. It looks better when the variable 'a' is fast forwarded but I think it looks good anyway.
