SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the potential of non-perturbative renormalization in the context of graviton self-interaction, specifically within Lattice Quantum Gravity frameworks. Participants explore the feasibility of making graviton self-interactions calculable through non-perturbative methods. Key references and definitions of non-perturbative renormalization are requested to clarify its implications for gravity theories.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Lattice Quantum Gravity
  • Familiarity with renormalization techniques in quantum field theory
  • Knowledge of graviton properties and interactions
  • Basic principles of non-perturbative methods in theoretical physics
NEXT STEPS
  • Research "Non-Perturbative Renormalization Techniques in Quantum Field Theory"
  • Study "Lattice Quantum Gravity: Methods and Applications"
  • Explore "Graviton Self-Interaction Calculations in Quantum Gravity"
  • Investigate "The Role of Non-Perturbative Approaches in Modern Physics"
USEFUL FOR

The discussion is beneficial for theoretical physicists, researchers in quantum gravity, and students exploring advanced concepts in quantum field theory and gravitation.

If we were to find some way to make the graviton self-interaction easily calculable, would applying non-perturbative renormalization on it seem any promising?

Could you give some references and say what you mean by non-perturbative renormalization?
