They are indeed a fuchsia, though we have lost the exact variety name. Looking through http://www.nwfuchsiasociety.com/" I was amazed, as you may be, at the huge number of varieties out there. We did not see this one. I am posting some better pics in the soon to be opened Flower thread.

We have sent a email with pics to the NW Fuchsia society looking for ID help.

The red flowers in the foreground of Integral's image to appear to be red foxglove, Digitalis purpurea or scrophulariaceae.

Unfortunately \partial does not recall the name, but is certain that it was not Foxglove, she would remember that. But that does not mean it is not in the same family. I’ll bet there are as many varieties of Foxglove as there are fuchsia . I also see it as a Foxglove.

I have a pretty good book on Fuchsia at home. I'll take a look. It is definitely Fuchsia though. There's no mistaking the bush part of that plant.
