Physics Practice Problems: Free Sites for Intro Level

Click For Summary
For those seeking free resources for introductory physics practice problems, several recommendations emerged in the discussion. A Google search for "introductory physics problems" can yield numerous options tailored to individual skill levels. PhysicsForums is highlighted as an excellent platform, particularly its Homework section, which allows users to attempt problems independently and access hints without revealing complete solutions. Additionally, an open-source physics textbook at lightandmatter.com is suggested, offering comprehensive content and numerous exercises for each chapter. These resources can aid in preparing for upcoming tests and improving grades.

Hey everyone. I was wanting to know if anyone knew of a website (preferably free) where someone could go to get some good practice problems for introductory physics. We have a test coming up this week and I would like to just get some extra practice in (trying to pull my grade up from our last test). Thanks!

Physics questions are not hard to find on the internet. Google search "introductory physics problems" and pick a few that fit in with your skill level.

I think the best place to learn Physics problems is here at PhysicsForums in the Homework section. Other sites that have a HW section usually give complete answers, which I learn nothing from. Here, I can see a problem and try to work it out myself then if I get stuck I scroll down to see a small hint and continue on. If you find other sites, let us know. Good luck.

Hi! I found something that may interest you:

It is an open-source physics textbook, with actually everything you need about introductory physics and many many exercises every chapter.

TL;DR: Jackson or Zangwill for Electrodynamics? Hi, I want to learn ultrafast optics and I am interested in condensed matter physics, ie using ultrafast optics in condensed matter systems. However, before I get onto ultrafast optics I need to improve my electrodynamics knowledge. Should I study Jackson or Zangwill for Electrodynamics? My level at the moment is Griffiths. Given my interest in ultrafast optics in condensed matter, I am not sure which book is better suited for me. If...
