Hello. I'm currently taking a class at the University of Minnesota, "The Mathematics of Coding Theory". In the class we have a final project on a topic of our choice that relates to the class. The guidelines are very broad and needs to only result in a final report of 10-20 pages answering a question we pick related to coding theory. In the end it must contain at least one of the following: a proof, a set of computer produced data, or a computer algorithm. I've decided I would like to do something related to robotics, but I'm having trouble deciding a exactly what kind of question I could come up with to answer. In particular, laser detector path finding would be of interest to me. Anyone have any suggestions how I could turn this into a question to answer in my project? Thanks.
