A Relation between Rosenbluth Potentials and Spitzer Resistivity

Click For Summary
The discussion centers on the relationship between Rosenbluth potentials and Spitzer resistivity in plasma physics. It highlights that both methods involve solving the Boltzmann equation and addressing the collisional term. The inquiry focuses on whether Spitzer's conductivity results can be derived using Rosenbluth potentials. The connection between these two approaches is crucial for understanding plasma behavior. Ultimately, the dialogue emphasizes the importance of exploring different methodologies in plasma conductivity analysis.

TL;DR
Is it possible to derive the Spitzer resistivity using Rosenblith potentials?
I know that Spitzer derived the conductivity of plasma in his famous 1952 paper. I just wonder if this result can be derived by Rosenblith potentials because they both encouner solving Boltzman equation and carefullt treating the collisional term.

Quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to. Greenhouse gasses both warm and cool the atmosphere by slowing heat loss to space. But what would happen without GHGs? I read that the earth would be colder (though still relatively warm), but why? Without GHGs the atmosphere would still be a similar mass and still warmed by conduction from the surface, yet without a means to radiate that heat to space. Why wouldn't the atmosphere accumulate heat over time, becoming warmer? How...
