EDUCATION
B.S. Chemistry with American Chemical Society certification as Professional Chemist from the University of Miami (UM).
M.S. Physics Education from Florida International University (FIU).
MBA from FIU.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Nine years as an industrial R&D Chemist in the field of paint and coatings
Three years managerial experience in cement manufacturing
Thirty-Three years teaching high school Physics as well as some classes of AP Chemistry and Astronomy.

I am also an Amateur Astronomer.

I spent time doing Quasar research with a professor before Quasars were known to be active galactic nuclei. At the time he had data from various sources showing power emissions across wavelengths from radio waves to gamma rays. Looking at the time data, I decided to put them together in an animated time loop to look for any trends or patterns. What I found was astounding. The emissions rose and fell along the wavelengths in an undulating pattern similar to a standing wave on a spring. We never figured why that pattern occurred and to this day more than forty years later, I still don't have an answer, although to be honest, I haven't really kept up on research in the field.

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
