SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on calculating the cost per meal for serving 120,000 meals with a total food expenditure of $46,000, after accounting for $1,250 worth of food removed from inventory. The correct approach involves subtracting the removed food cost from the total expenditure, resulting in a net cost of $44,750. Dividing this net cost by the number of meals served yields a cost of approximately $0.37 per meal.

Find the cost per meal if you serve 120000 meals, spend $46000 in food purchases and $1250 worth of food was removed from the inventory.

I assume my understanding about the question is correct. then the whole amount spent is given for 120000 meals. so now find it for 1 meal.
