SUMMARY

The discussion centers around a question where the participant believed the answer was D, but the book indicated it was A. The confusion arose from the participant's understanding of the relationship between wavelength and frequency, specifically that longer wavelengths correspond to shorter frequencies, which is a common convention in physics. The participant expressed frustration over a technical issue with their computer that prevented them from properly displaying the question.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of wavelength and frequency relationships in physics
  • Familiarity with conventions in scientific notation
  • Basic problem-solving skills in interpreting questions
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with computer displays
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the physics of wavelength and frequency relationships
  • Study common conventions in scientific problem-solving
  • Learn about troubleshooting display issues on computers
  • Explore resources on interpreting and answering multiple-choice questions
USEFUL FOR

Students studying physics, educators teaching scientific concepts, and individuals preparing for standardized tests that include physics questions.

Hi,

So, I attached the question below.

I thought the answer was D but the book says it is A.

I thought it was D because I thought, well, I don't know, by convention, longest wavelengths and thus shorter frequencies, are to the left.

Thanks!

So sorry it is rotated. My computer refuses to rotate it!
